Your HP Compaq laptop screen might be a little bit harder to source than at first it seemed

If your Laptop Screen has broken you might think it will be easy to source a new one. Just go on to the internet, type in your laptop model number and the result will be displayed in a flash. The results which will be displayed however can be misleading. The trouble with Compaq Laptop Screens is to do with where the connector on the reverse is situated. The LED 15.6″ laptop screen has the connector on either the left or right hand side of the panel. If your data cable is on the left and the connector on the right, it will not reach and vice versa.

This is pretty unique to Compaq Presario Laptop Screens and the like so in a lot of instances it is best to remove the panel in order to check which side of the laptop the connector appears. This extra little bit of information can be valuable as most sellers are aware of this issue and will know which type of panel they are selling. It’s always worth ringing before you purchase, just to be on the safe side.
